I. Purpose

The Hsieh Pi-Tao Student Financial Aid Grant was established by Ms. Hsieh Pi-Tao, the mother of Professor Wang Yung-Tzu of the Graduate Institute of Social Work, National Taiwan Normal University. The grant aims to support students facing financial hardship and to help them pursue their studies with greater stability.

II. Eligibility and Number of Awards

  • Number of Awards: Two recipients per semester.

  • Eligible Applicants: Currently enrolled graduate students in the Graduate Institute of Social Work at National Taiwan Normal University.

III. Award Amount

The grant is awarded once each semester. Each recipient will receive NT$5,000.

IV. Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Demonstrate financial hardship; or

  • Experience financial difficulty due to being unable to work while completing a required internship.

Applicants' academic performance from the previous semester will also be considered as part of the review process.

V. Application Procedure

The grant is offered once each semester. Applicants should complete the following steps within the announced application period:

  1. Submit an online application through the Scholarship System:

    • University Administrative System → Student Affairs → Scholarship System (Student Portal)

    • Please refer to the attached guide for instructions on the online application process.

  2. Upload all required application documents to your personal cloud storage folder and send an email containing the shared folder link to the Graduate Institute Office.

    • Hard copies are not required.

Required Documents

  • Completed application form

  • Copy of both sides of the student ID card (with the current semester registration stamp)

  • Supporting documentation verifying eligibility (e.g., certification of low-income or middle-to-low-income household status, proof of financial hardship or unexpected family circumstances, or a recommendation letter signed by the applicant's academic advisor)

  • Official internship placement letter issued by the Graduate Institute to the internship organization

  • Original transcript for the previous semester

Students who wish to apply for this financial aid grant are kindly requested to complete both application procedures within the designated application period.
