The Mrs. Yu Chen-Kai Scholarship was established by Mrs. Yu Chen-Kai, the mother of Professor Mei-Kuei Yu of the Graduate Institute of Social Work, National Taiwan Normal University. The scholarship aims to encourage students to engage in academic research, participate in international exchange activities (including overseas study visits, presentations at international conferences, overseas practicums, and student exchange programs), and to support students facing financial hardship in pursuing their studies.
Applicants must be currently enrolled students of the Graduate Institute of Social Work, National Taiwan Normal University.
International Exchange Award
If there are eligible applicants who have participated in international exchange activities during the application year, one award will be granted.
Award Amount: NT$20,000
Financial Need Award
If there are no applicants who have participated in international exchange activities during the application year, up to two students with demonstrated financial need may be selected.
Award Amount: NT$10,000 per recipient.
Priority for the International Exchange Award will be given in the following order:
Overseas study visits
Presentations at international conferences
Overseas practicums
Student exchange programs
Applicants who have already received full financial support for the same activity from other organizations are not eligible for this scholarship.
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
Have participated in an international exchange activity during the application year; or
Demonstrate financial hardship.
This scholarship is offered once each year. Applicants should complete the following steps within the announced application period:
Submit an online application through the Scholarship System:
University Administrative System → Student Affairs → Scholarship System (Student Portal)

Upload all required application documents to your personal cloud storage folder and send an email containing the shared folder link to the Graduate Institute Office.
Hard copies are not required.

Copy of both sides of the student ID card (with the current semester registration stamp)
Official transcript for the previous semester
For applicants participating in international exchange activities, supporting documentation such as:
Practicum or study visit acceptance/approval documents
Student exchange approval documents
Conference paper acceptance notification
Other relevant supporting documents
Students wishing to apply for this scholarship are kindly requested to complete both application procedures within the designated application period.
